Pennsylvania

We are here in Pennsylvania after a long trip on two airplanes. It was Calvin's first time on an airplane. Here he is looking out at the planes and little cars carrying the luggage. He tried chasing the cars as they would pass by. He was so wide eyed and interested in everything going on around him.

I never knew how exhausting it can be to try and entertain a child on a flight. I never wanted to be that mom with the annoying kids who screamed and kicked the seat in front of them. Well, there was plenty of kicking (which I kept pulling his legs away constantly) but just a little crying. He was on Johnny's or my lap and it was hard to keep his feet away from the seat in front (you know how close the chairs are together). He definitely was not a happy camper, but we managed to entertain him enough to keep him from getting really upset. Food seemed to work the best ;) During the second flight, Johnny managed to get him to fall asleep on his lap and he only woke up periodically when another baby behind us would start crying. I thought that he would fall asleep on the car ride to the house, but he was wide awake the entire time (45 minutes)...including when we got to the house and started getting ready for bed around 2:00 in the morning. He wanted to explore the house. Well, once he was in his pack-n-play and we plugged in the sound machine and turned the light off to go to bed, he managed to fall asleep after fussing for a bit. He did wake up really early and tossed and turned, but we were thankful to just lay down and get some sleep ;)

Here is the first picture of many more to come with all the JOHN CALVIN TAYLORS (VI,VII,VIII,IX) together plus little Taylor Christensson. That was this morning before breakfast. It was fun to see them all together like that. Calvin enjoyed sitting on Papajis lap ;) The other is of Maji and Calvin together. He has been REALLY interested in Maji. It has been fun observing all the interactions!

Here we are today...just relaxing, eating yummy food, and drinking lots and lots of tea. We spent some time outside. Here are some fun jumping pictures. We love to take those!

Here is my favorite of the jumping pictures. Both little boys were smiling and everyone looked so happy...

Here is a picture of the two little cousins playing outside. They got to go down a slide made out of a box. They loved that!

Well, that's enough for now. I will post some more pictures from our fun walk this afternoon later on. Hope everyone is having a great week!
